Welcome to Bring Cherie Home

On 12 July 2024 Cherie and our black lab, Daisy, dug out  under our backyard  fence. They were spotted on the Euchee Creek Trail in Canterbury Farms. Per neighbor reports, a person attempted to intercept them, but they continued on towards the trail crosswalk on William Few.  Cherie was last seen at the cross walk where the Euchee Creek Trail crosses Williams Few Parkway sometime around 5:30- 6:00pm. Multiple eyewitnesses have reported that they saw a person pick Cherie up and get back into their vehicle. We found Daisy on the trail in Canterbury Farms, but have been unable to locate Cherie since that time. We have checked with multiple agencies in all surrounding counties but Cherie has not been turned in at any agency in the area.

Cherie could have been transported anywhere. We are asking everyone to be on the lookout for a "new" dog in their neighborhood that fits Cherie's description. We need help from the public to find and bring home our precious girl.

REWARD: We are offering a reward for information that leads to Cherie's return.

DESCRIPTION: Cherie is a small Jack Russell Terrier, weighing 10lbs at the time of her disappearance. She is white with brown spots. She is 13 years old now  and is graying on her head and snout. She has a large surgical scar on her neck, on the right side extending around the back of her neck. She also has a bump or crook near the tip of her tail. She will respond to her name (pronounced “shuh REE”). She is microchipped, assuming the chip survived her surgery.

We created this page to assist in the search for our sweet Cherie and to ask the community for assistance in locating her. We can find Cherie, but not without your help! Thank you for taking the time to look at our website dedicated to finding Cherie. We appreciate your time and any information you have that may lead to bringing Cherie home.

About Cherie

We've had Jack Russell Terriers in our family for over 20 years. Cherie was our 2nd and she is 13 years old. Our 1st JRT died in a traffic accident and our 3rd JRT sadly passed away in November 2023. Cherie is an ardent hunter and loves adventures; this was not her first time getting out from under the fence.

Cherie is a resilient little girl with a true zeal for life. She survived the horrific wreck when a drunk driver struck our car, killing  our 1st JRT that was in our family 12years. Cherie survived multiple strikes from a copperhead snake in our yard. Cherie  picked a fight with Daisy our big black lab requiring surgery (hence the scar on her neck) and survived the life-threatening complications that developed afterwards. Cherie is a strong-willed little girl. She is a special girl and we know that she can overcome her current predicament and continue to flourish once she is returned home. Cherie loves liver treats, her special "dog bologna", and eats about anything. She loves being outside, often refusing to come back inside because she is digging for voles. She  has trained her humans to give her treats for coming inside.  Cherie is a tiny girl with a huge personality. We miss her profoundly.
